Danio meghalayensis

Danio meghalayensis Sen & Day 1985.
Scientific Name:Danio meghalayensis
Origin:India
Size:60mm (2 inches). S.L.
Comments:Nice fish that resembles, slightly, a large Zebra Danio. Males have red band on anal fins, females white. Lives in mountain streams at a height of 4000ft and prefers cooler water conditions. No reports of breeding to date. First imported in 2005. It is reported to be a synonym of Danio dangila but we understand that Dr Fang Kullander (nee Fang) has confirmed that it is a species in its own right.
